First Christian Collegium School Opened in Ukraine

In the western Ukrainian city of Ternopil, Ukraine’s first Christian collegium school has been opened. It bears the name of Patriarch Josef Slipyj.

In the western Ukrainian city of Ternopil, Ukraine’s first Christian collegium school has been opened. It bears the name of Patriarch Josef Slipyj.

UNIAN reported with reference to the press-service of the Ternopil City Council, this Christian education complex of the 1st-3rd degree, in addition to general education subjects, will offer additional special courses, optional courses and Christian circles. The pupils will also study Christian Ethic from 1st to 11th grade.

The new institution was consecrated by Chancellor of the Ternopil-Zboriv Eparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Father Andrii Romankiv.

In addition to the clergy, the opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of Ternopil, Serhii Nadal, head of the City Department of Education, Olha Pohyliak, representatives of the public.
