First Ukrainian Convention of Union of Orthodox Women Held

With the blessing of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, on January 24 in the Conference Hall of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, the first Ukrainian National Convention of the Union of Orthodox Women was held with the participation of representatives from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Armenia.

With the blessing of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, on January 24 in the Conference Hall of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, the first Ukrainian National Convention of the Union of Orthodox Women was held with the participation of representatives from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Armenia. The theme of the event was the spiritual crisis in the society and the role of Orthodox women in overcoming it.

According to the website of UOC-MP, the event was opened with an address by the head of the Union of Orthodox Women, Olha Kovalenko.

The main subjects discussed at the convention included the morality and ethicality of external advertisements, the spiritual crisis in the society and the role of Orthodox women in overcoming it, an action plan in the eparchies of UOC for the coming year.
