16 March, 09:50

Four participants of the criminal organization had pre-trial detention chosen as a preventive measure on March 15. Among them was the right-hand man of the organizer, who was responsible for the editorial policy of the media network of the UOC-MP. He provided instructions to publication authors, determined the vector of information presentation, and controlled the content.

This was officially announced by the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

Two other individuals were responsible for editing and coordinating publications, while the fourth was an executor of tasks, writing articles on assigned topics.

Ten other participants have been informed of suspicion in accordance with the law. Since they are outside the country, they have been declared wanted. Preventive measures in the form of detention will be chosen for them in absentia.

As reported by RISU, the Security Service neutralized a criminal organization in Kyiv that conducted information sabotage at the behest of the FSB. The perpetrators mass-produced and disseminated pro-Kremlin narratives and provocative messages aimed at destabilizing the socio-political situation and inciting religious hatred in Ukraine.

According to the SBU, this is currently one of the largest FSB networks operating in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. It had a clear hierarchy and division of functions, as well as constant communication with major Russian media outlets, which immediately picked up the "required" content.
