Greek Catholic Head To Pray With Christians of Evangelical Faith

On January 25, at 7 p.m., in the Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith (CCEF) Philadelphia (57 Holosiivska Street, Kyiv), an interdenominational prayer will be conducted as part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The ecumenical service will be attended the head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), Patriarch Sviatoslav Shevchuk and Senior Bishop of the Churches of Christians of Evangelical Faith of Ukraine, Mykhailo Panochko.

The Ukrainian Pentecostals will take part in the Week of Prayer for the fourth time. In the previous years, representatives of other denominations attended their church to pray jointly for unity.

For instance, the former head of UGCC, Archbishop Lubomyr Husar twice prayed jointly with the Protestant brethren in the Philadelphia Church. The present Greek Catholic head, Patriarch Sviatoslav is to visit the church for the first time, the press service of CCEF reported.
