Head of Kyiv Patriarchate Consecrates Cornerstone of New Cathedral in Fastiv

On May 16, 2010, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP), Patriarch Filaret, visited the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the central Ukrainian town of Fastiv.

KYIVOn May 16, 2010, the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate (UOC-KP), Patriarch Filaret, visited the parish of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the central Ukrainian town of Fastiv. He served a liturgy in a small church there in concelebration with other clergymen and completed the consecration of the foundation of the future cathedral.

According to the press service of the UOC-KP, the construction of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker Cathedral began several years ago.
