The head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret, presented to the head of the association Svoboda, Oleh Tiahnybok, the order of Prince Volodymyr the Great of the 3rd degree

 

On August 25 the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret, presented to the head of the association Svoboda, Oleh Tiahnybok, a far-right Ukrainian politician, the order of Prince Volodymyr the Great of the 3rd degree “for efforts to revive spirituality in Ukraine and establish a national Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”

According to the press service of Svoboda, “promotion of one Ukrainian national Church centered in Kyiv is one of the main items of the “Program for Protecting Ukrainians” of Svoboda.
