On the eve of elections to the Ukrainian parliament, the head of the Conference of Roman Catholic Bishops of Ukraine Mieczyslaw Mokrzycki addressed the faithful with a call to perform their civic duty and vote in the elections, thus becoming co-responsible for the fate of Ukraine.

“The past months have been extremely disturbing for the fate of Ukraine ... Ukrainian citizens have an opportunity to shift from words to deeds. I mean the duty to vote. It requires concrete and courageous choices that become due on the side of truth and goodness. Only on this foundation can we build the future of the nation and its greatness. So let us go to the elections in the spirit of responsibility for the present and future, being faithful to the Roman Catholic Church, and let us give a voice for those who want to take responsibility for the fate of Ukraine, not for the sake of their own fame but for the good of others. Participating in the elections, let us become co-responsible for our Homeland,” reads the message.
