Patriarch Kirill awarded Serhij Kunitsyn, Anatolij Hrytsenko,Viktor Plakyda, and Leonid Zhunko with the Orders of Serhij Radonezhskyj of the 3rd degree.
SEBASTOPOL — The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill, awarded Serhij Kunitsyn, head of the Sebastopol City State Administration, Anatolij Hrytsenko, head of the Supreme Council of the Crimea, Viktor Plakyda, head of the Council of Ministers of the Crimea, and Leonid Zhunko, permanent representative of Ukraine’s president in the Crimea, with the Orders of Serhij Radonezhskyj of the 3rd degree. According to the press service of the Supreme Council of the Crimea, the awards were presented to the officials by Metropolitan Lazar of Simferopol and Crimea of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate for their successful preparation for the visit Patriarch Kirill to the Crimea in summer 2009.
“The visit promoted the unification of all Orthodox of Ukraine and the consolidation of the Ukrainian nation… For me the Order of Reverend Serhij Radonezhskyj is a very high honor and the dearest award,” stressed Anatolij Hrytsenko.
