Head of the OCU: Many Ukrainian patriots remain in the UOC under the Moscow Patriarchate

On Wednesday, May 10, in Volodymyr-Volynskyi, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epifaniy, held a press conference for journalists.

This was reported by Konkurent.

When asked by one of the journalists about the verification of priests who switched to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine from the Moscow Patriarchate, he replied that it is easy for a priest to pass this "test" if the community wants to take him with them, and if he also supports the community.

"I am convinced that there are still many priests who are patriots of Ukraine, but unfortunately, for certain reasons, they were part of the Moscow Patriarchate," said the Metropolitan.

The day before, a service was held in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Volodymyr-Volynskyi, which was led by the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Epifaniy.

t is worth reminding that on Tuesday, May 9, the head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epifaniy, arrived on an official visit to Volyn.
