Head of UGCC shares his vision of Ukraine's victory over Russia

The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, shared his vision of Ukraine's victory in the war against Russia during an interview with Apostrophe.

This was reported by the UGCC Department for Information.

"I believe in Ukraine's victory. I said this in my address on the first day of the war, February 24, 2022, that Ukraine's victory will be a victory of God's power over human greed," emphasized the Head of the UGCC.

He stressed that true peace and victory are not merely human achievements. "When I pray to God for victory, I say: God, grant us such a victory that everyone will see it comes from You."

According to him, the source of wars is people themselves, who initiate them and then become their hostages.

"People fall into slavery to this diabolical whirlwind of war. But peace comes from God," explained the Patriarch.

Therefore, His Beatitude Sviatoslav constantly turns to the Lord in prayer: "Lord, grant us Your heavenly, righteous peace and bless our Ukraine with it!"
