To mark the Day for Protection of Children in Ukraine on June 1, bishops of the main denominations of the Lviv Oblast published a joint address to parents, teachers, mentors and officials about the defense of children’s rights.
“A child has a right to develop in a real family where the parents live according to God’s commandments and foster healthy Christian traditions,” reads the address signed by Metropolitan Makarii of Lviv of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Ihor (Vozniak) of Lviv of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Metropolitan Dymytrii (Rudiuk) of Lviv of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate and Bishop Filaret (Kucherov) of Lviv and Halych of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate.
