“The construction is led by a Buddhist monk Serhiy Filonenko, who previously lived in Donetsk, and is likely to be completed by the end of the year.

Buddhists moved to the Carpathians from the occupied territories, said Vadym Voytyk to Vikna. Previously, they had poured the foundation of Ukraine's first Buddhist temple near Volnovakha (Donetsk region). But when the war broke out, they were forced to leave.

The place for construction of the temple in the Carpathians was chosen by the teacher of the Order Nippondzan Mohodzi in Ukraine Terasawa Junsei,” traveler and philosopher Yevhen Ikhelson reports.
