In Kyiv, Jewish sites are taken under police protection

At the request of the chief rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Asman, the police took under the protection of synagogues in Kyiv

This was reported by journalist Shimon Briman, an expert on Israeli-Ukrainian relations, on his Facebook page, "Vysoky Zamok" reports.

The message says that the Central Synagogue of Brodsky (Shota Rustaveli street) and the synagogue on Podil (Shchekavytska str.), as well as a number of other Jewish sites.

On Saturday evening, February 12, Asman appealed to all Jews in Kyiv, offering to move to a community campus in the suburbs of Kyiv for free accommodation. The campus is also under security.

These steps were taken against the background of expectations of the outbreak of hostilities on the border of Ukraine, where significant forces of the armies of Russia and Belarus are now concentrated.
