In Melitopol, Russians have occupied a church to place military equipment, and the wounded have been sent to a children's sanatorium.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to the Volyn News Service.

"Russian terrorists disregarded the laws of international humanitarian law and set up a base of Russian servicemen with military equipment on the territory of the Melitopol Oleksandro-Nevsky Cathedral."

It is also reported that Russian occupying forces continue to suffer significant losses on the battlefield. As a result, the enemy continues to convert civilian facilities in temporarily occupied territories into medical institutions.

"In Melitopol (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), the occupiers have converted a children's sanatorium into a military hospital, where over 200 occupiers with various degrees of injuries are receiving treatment," the statement reads.
