In Slavyansk Protestants organize national prayer for Ukraine

The Ukrainian Interchurch Council invites priests of Evangelical Churches to take part on December 13 in the “Second national prayer for Ukraine”.Worship services will take place in Slavyansk of Donetsk region at Odeskast, 30 at the Church of the Good News (Senior Pastor, Bishop Oleksiy Demidovich).

As the organizers emphasize, the first national prayer for Ukraine was held last December in Kyiv.

This year's prayer will be held in a kind of relay, the key place of Scripture for its conduct will be an excerpt from the epistles of St. James: “It is a very powerful prayer of a righteous jealousy” (James 5: 16)

“We believe that the Most Merciful Almighty Lord God, King of heaven and earth, willhear our pleas and prayers, turn his kind face to our weeping and cries, save our suffering people, and grants our land peace, tranquility and harmony,”goes themessage of representatives of the Ukrainian Interchurch Council, signed by presiding bishop of the UIC Valeriy Reshetinskyi and Executive Secretary of the UIC pastor SerhiyUbohov.
