This opinion was expressed by Nikolaos Papachristu, director of the Media and Communications Department of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, in an interview with the Spiritual Front of Ukraine regarding information attacks initiated by the church and other persons from Russia or the UOC-MP.
"It is clear that everyone judges by themselves. Their attitude and behavior are particularly sad, and I would describe their alleged interest in the unity of Orthodoxy as hypocritical. Because if they were really interested in the unity of the church, they would not remain indifferent to the schism in Ukraine for 30 years and would not make offensive statements about the Ecumenical Patriarch, which are often repeated," Nikolaos Papachristu said.
He added that despite the talk within the UOC-MP, the Mother See Church of Constantinople will continue its service for the benefit of the unity of the church and the faithful people of God.
