The Salesians hold in Lviv an international meeting of all persons responsible for youth ministry in the countries of central and northern Europe. The event will be held on November 11-13 under the leadership of General Councillor of the Salesians for Youth Ministry Fr. Fabio Attard. The goal of the conference is to establish the concept of the work and programs of youth ministry for the countries of central and northern Europe.

RISU learned from Deacon Oleksandr Chumakov that the conference will include joint meditation on a letter of the General Superior Fr. Pasqual Chaves about Salesian youth ministry. The meeting is also aimed to renew pastoral work and search for new approaches in the education and evangelization of modern youth.

A Salesian meeting of this level is held in Ukraine for the first time. “The choice of the place is connected with the prospect of Ukrainian intentions to have a shared future with the countries of Europe, as education of new generations is an urgent challenge for our continent,” noted Deacon Chumakov.
