Metropolitan Hilarion Alfeyev of the Russian Orthodox Church, a witness and participant in the meeting in Amman, spoke to journalists about the main outcomes of the meeting and answered the question about canonical communication with the OCU of those local Churches that were present at the meeting: “No, this issue was not raised.”

“So, one of the main issues that the ROC MP raised when promoting the idea of the meeting - to curb the process of recognition of the autocephaly of the OCU - was not even raised.
