"A united people cannot be defeated," - the Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch

25.02.2022, 10:53

The Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Ukraine, Bishop Mykhailo Komansky (Anishchenko), appealed to Ukrainians to unite, for a united nation cannot be defeated.

The text of the appeal:

Brothers and sisters!

Today, February 24, 2022, Ukraine was subjected to open military aggression by the Russian Federation.

At this time of great trial for our people, we pray for Ukraine, our pious people, and the Ukrainian army - men and women who defend our Motherland.

Let's unite, respect each other, take care of each other and help each other. We do not believe in fakes and do not panic.

We express our sincere gratitude to His Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew for the prayerful support of our Ukrainian people.

We call on all people of good will in the world to pray for the Ukrainian state and the entire international community to condemn the treacherous war against our people and, if possible, support Ukraine in resisting the hostile invasion.

We call on God's blessing on the Ukrainian state and its people, especially on the defenders - the Ukrainian military, doctors, volunteers. Let us unite, for it is impossible to defeat a united nation.

May God help us protect Ukraine and quickly return to a peaceful life.

Exarch of the Ecumenical Patriarch in Ukraine, Bishop Mykhailo Komansky.
