It's not Putin who’s throwing bombs at us, - OCU archbishop about "good" Russians
This was stated by the OCU Archbishop, Yevstratiy (Zorya) of Chernihiv, in the "Time: Online" TV show on Channel 5.
"The distortion of the concepts of good and evil also occurs among those who were poisoned by the ideology of the "Russian World". Unfortunately, this toxicity can be so intense. An actual example is Chernihiv, which was besieged by Russia for more than a month, and a person on the territory of the Moscow Patriarchate church says to a representative of the Military Administration: "We still need to figure out who is bombing us, and I know that the Americans are bombing us." In the Gospel, the Lord says of people who are blinded: "They look and do not see, they listen and do not hear. Because what some people see, others simply don't want to see," says Archbishop Yevstratiy (Zorya).
"Actually, we can see this in the example of the intoxicated Russian society. If Russian society rejected this cannibalistic ideology, this war would never have happened. If people did not agree with Putin's rule if people did not agree to go to the slaughter of this war... It's not Putin who is throwing bombs. It's not Putin who is firing hundreds of rockets. It's not Putin who is setting up a prison for children that was found in Kherson. It's not Putin who is shooting civilians in Bucha. It's not Putin who is now destroying Bakhmut and Soledar and other cities and villages in Ukraine. This is done by certain military personnel who follow orders from certain war criminals. Had they refused to do so, what could this Kremlin dwarf have done alone? Shoot with a slingshot, and that's it. But millions of people are actually in and doing it. And the ancient wisdom is being actualized – to defeat evil. One thing is needed, good people should do nothing. Those who should speak out are silent and indulge evil," says the OCU spokesman.
The Archbishop stressed that not a single hierarch and spiritual guide of the Russian Orthodox Church on the territory of the Russian Federation opposed the war.
