Jubilee 'Assumption Readings' Held in Ukraine

On September 27-30, in Kyiv, the Tenth International Assumption readings "Holy Day: Gratefulness, Release, Unification" will take place.

On September 27-30, in Kyiv, the Tenth International Assumption readings "Holy Day: Gratefulness, Release, Unification" will take place. The Assumption readings have become an opportunity for scholars from many countries of the world to thoroughly discuss a specific theological theme.

The program of the event includes meetings, round tables, discussions of reports, and presentation of books of clergymen, religious studies experts, and theologians. The conference will also be attended by scholars from such countries as France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Russia, and Italy.

On September 29, in the Kyiv Spiritual Seminary, the clergymen and theologians will have a chance to converse with the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Volodymyr, at a round table "Orthodox Theology in Ukraine: The Current Status and Prospects."
