This promise was made in Putin's congratulations on National Unity Day.

This was reported by Religiyna Pravda, citing the ROC website.

"Now the Russian Orthodox Church offers special prayers for the God-protected country, the authorities, the army and the people so that the Lord will overthrow the plans of all those who turned against Holy Russia, establish the spirit of Brotherly Love and peace in people. I hope that such cooperation will continue to develop, bringing good results, contributing to the establishment in the minds of contemporaries of the ideals of mercy and justice, unity and social harmony, and preserving the rich historical, spiritual and cultural heritage of our country,” Kirill said.

He expressed gratitude to Putin “for his consistent attention to the activities of the Moscow Patriarchate, for his personal contribution to the harmonization of church-state relations.”
