Kyiv Cave Reserve Disowns Restaurant "Heaven"

Recently, religion.in.ua reported with reference to the press service of the Kyiv Cave Reserve on the information that a businessman, Ihor Didkovskyi presented a restaurant in the Kyiv Cave Monastery to his daughter.

Recently, religion.in.ua reported with reference to the press service of the Kyiv Cave Reserve on the information that a businessman, Ihor Didkovskyi presented a restaurant in the Kyiv Cave Monastery to his daughter.

In view of the above, the administration of the Kyiv Cave Monastery made public an information that according to Resolution of the Ukrainian Central Executive Committee and Council of People’s Commissars of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic of 29.09.1926 “On recognition of the former Kyiv Cave Monastery as a historic and cultural reserve and its transformation into an All-Ukrainian museum center,” the territory of the National Kyiv Cave Monastery Historic and Cultural Reserve is restricted to the walls of the monastery.  

The Restaurant “Heaven” mentioned in the report of the media is located within the territory of the National Center of People’s Culture “Ivan Honchar Museum” which is situated outside the monastery walls and is not part of its territory.  

Therefore, according to the administration of the reserve, the information spread by the mass media is not true.
