Kyiv Patriarchate Is Refused Land Plot in Simferopol

The Crimean Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate has been refused a permit to develop a draft land management for allocating a land plot for the construction of a cathedral.

The Crimean Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate has been refused a permit to develop a draft land management for allocating a land plot for the construction of a cathedral.

According to the Crimean Information Agency, the draft resolution says that the eparchy asks to allocate for it a plot of 0.4900 Hectares at Kyivska Street.

Only nine deputies voted for the allocation. The mayor of Simferopol, Hennadii Babenko, stated that confession is a delicate matter and the deputies are governed by their religious beliefs in their voting.
