Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve vs the UOC MP monastery lawsuit hearing postponed to May

On April 24, the first court session was held for the lawsuit filed by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Reserve against the UOC MP monastery to remove obstacles to the use of the property.

According to the lawyer of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, Father Mykyta Chekman, the court heard the arguments of the representatives of the monastery and postponed the court hearing to May 1. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC MP reported this.

Father Mykyta said, "Today, the first court session was held for the lawsuit filed by the reserve against the monastery to remove obstacles to the use of property, in which the reserve intended to clarify its claims and consider securing the lawsuit. The court listened to the arguments of the representatives of the monastery, allowed the preparation of written statements on this matter, and postponed the court hearing until 10:30 am on May 1, 2023
