Leonid Kravchuk Calls Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church ‘Church of High Spirit’

21.08.2013, 09:36

The first president of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, believes that the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC) celebrated the 1025th anniversary of the baptism of Rus-Ukraine at a high level. Leonid Kravchuk said this at a press conference in Kyiv on August 20, a correspondent of the Information Department of the UGCC informs.

“And the world truly appreciated it. For instance, almost the whole world came to the consecration of the Greek Catholics’ cathedral, held last weekend. This is very serious. This means that the Greek Catholic Church do not just emerge from the catacombs but moved to Kyiv and became a church of a high spirit. For us it is very, very important!” said the former president, the Information Department of the UGCC reports.
