On April 16, representatives of the occupation authorities in the village of Dobropillya, Skadovsk district, forced local priest Father Platon to leave the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and switch to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.

This was reported by "Kherson.rajion" with reference to the secretary of the Kherson Eparchy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Ioan Zamaraev.

According to him, Father Platon, who is the rector of the local Holy Trinity Church of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, categorically refused to comply with the orders of the occupiers.

After that, the representatives of the occupation authorities prohibited him from conducting services in the church and promised to send a representative of the Moscow Patriarchate to the church.
