May this New Year become the year of God's grace, God's power, so that we understand that when we do good, this good helps us. Therefore, do good and avoid evil.
This was stated by Patriarch Svyatoslav of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church on the air of the interactive program “Open Church”, which on the eve of New Year was broadcast by Channel 5, the Department of Information of the UGCC reports.
The head of the UGCC extended his wishes to Ukraine and all the citizens of our country: “May the Lord bless our Ukraine, our citizens, all those who are struggling today for our future.”
“My thoughts are focused today on those who suffer in the occupied territories, on those who are in captivity and still expect liberation. My thoughts are with our warriors, who stand on the front and protect our New Year and at the cost of their own lives and health, give us a new opportunity to build our future,” the Patriarch said.
“I wish all of you the blissful holiday of the Nativity of Christ, to which we are approaching and the happy and God-blessed New Year!” the Head of the UGCC said.
