Memorial Services Held in Lviv Churches for Victims of Smolensk Plane Crash

Upon a request of the general consul of the Republic of Poland in Lviv, Archbishop Mieczys?aw Mokrzycki conducted a memorial service for the repose of the victims of the Smolensk plane crash in the Lviv Roman Catholic cathedral.

LVIV – Upon a request of the general consul of the Republic of Poland in Lviv on April 11, 2010, Archbishop Mieczys?aw Mokrzycki conducted a memorial service for the repose of the victims of the Smolensk plane crash in the Lviv Roman Catholic cathedral.

According to the website of the Lviv Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church, the church was visited by the delegation of the Ukrainian Catholic University headed by its Rector Borys Gudziak as well as by the head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Mykola Kmit, head of the Regional Council, Myroslav Senyk, Lviv’s Mayor Andrii Sadovyi, and others.

On April 11 memorial services were held in churches of Lviv Archdiocese of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church.
