Metropolitan Epifaniy greets Patriarch Bartholomew on his name day

The Primate of the OCU published the text of the greeting on his Facebook page.

"The memory of the saints whose names we bear is always an occasion to remember their lives and exploits and be inspired by their example. The Apostle Bartholomew was a tireless preacher of the word of God among many nations. Quite similarly “You, Your Holiness, take great care to spread the testimony of the truth in word and deed among Orthodox Christians and before the whole world," the message reads.

The Primate of the OCU has recalled with joy their communication last year and renew the assurances of his highest consideration of the Ecumenical Patriarch.

"In this special time of sorrows and trials for the Church and all mankind, which the Lord has allowed, I want to assure Your Holiness of our eternal love and constant prayer for You personally, as well as for our Mother Church and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, which you are worthily leading," Metropolitan Epifaniy stressed.
