Guests from Lithuania arrived in Kyiv to participate in events commemorating Ukraine's Independence Day and the National Prayer Breakfast. During the All-Night Vigil, clergy of the Ecumenical Patriarchate prayed at St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, as reported on the official website of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).
Following the service, the Primate of the OCU met with the guests at his residence to discuss inter-Orthodox relations and the current religious situation in both Lithuania and Ukraine.
During the meeting, participants highlighted the anti-Christian stance and destructive role of the Moscow Patriarchate, which actively supports Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. At the conclusion of the conversation, they exchanged prayerful wishes for a just peace for Ukraine and commemorative gifts.
