Metropolitan Epifaniy thanked the US for supporting Ukraine in its struggle against the aggressor
In his post on the "X" platform, he emphasized the importance of the assistance provided by the US, particularly highlighting the role of Congress, the government, and President Joseph Biden.
"We are grateful to the people of the United States of America, both houses of the US Congress, the government, and President Joseph Biden for supporting Ukraine in our confrontation with the Russian empire of evil. May God bless everyone who helps defend freedom, dignity, and peace!" wrote Metropolitan Epifaniy.
It should be noted that the US Congress has approved assistance to Ukraine totaling almost $61 billion, with nearly $50 billion allocated for defense expenditures. Additionally, around $8 billion in budgetary support is provided.
The United States intends to announce today the allocation of a new extensive package of military aid worth $6 billion for Ukraine. Reuters reports this, citing its own sources in the US administration.
"The United States of America may announce as early as Friday the purchase of new weaponry for Ukraine totaling more than $6 billion," the message states.
The new extensive package of military aid may include counter-artillery radars, tactical vehicles, intercept missiles for the Patriot air defense system, drones, artillery, precision-guided munitions, and anti-drone systems.
