Chaired by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill (Gundyaev) the first session of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2015 began at St Daniel Monastery.
Taking part in the Synod were Metropolitan Onufriy(Berezovsky), Head of the UOC (MP) and Metropolitan Mytrofan (Yurchuk)of Luhansk and Alchevsk who was invited to the meeting as a temporary member of the Synod.
During the meeting the participants discussed the results of the Pontifical meeting of 2-4 February, and several other current issues of church life, reports the official website of the UOC (MP).
