Metropolitan Volodymyr Presented to Viktor Yanukovych Seal Ring of Kyivan Prince

On the inauguration day of Viktor Yanukovych, at the Kyiv Cave Monastery, a prayer service led by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Metropolitan Volodymyr, was held.

KYIV — On the inauguration day of Viktor Yanukovych, at the Kyiv Cave Monastery, a prayer service led by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate (UOC-MP), Metropolitan Volodymyr, was held. Praying at the service was also the president-elect of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych, reports the web site of UOC-MP.  
Patriarch Kirill and Metropolitan Volodymyr prayed for Ukraine, the Ukrainian people, and the president-elect of Ukraine.   

Patriarch Kirill addressed the president-elect with a greeting word and gave him the Icon of Christ the Savior as a gift.

Metropolitan Volodymyr presented as a gift to Viktor Yanukovych the seal ring of the Kyivan Prince Vsevolod, the son of the blessed Prince Yaroslav the Wise, which he received as a gift from the Byzantine Emperor Constantine Monomachos in 1043.
