On July 9 armed men with a sign featuring ‘Donetsk People Republic’ entered the Donetsk Christian University.
Donetsk Christian University (DCU) is one of the largest and renowned Christian higher education etsablishments. The University is a founding member of the Euro-Asian Accreditation Association. The DCU structure includes a children’s education center, ‘Gloria’ general education school, seminars and university programs (in theology, missiology, psychology, English philology, journalism).
The total area of Donetsk Christian University is 8.5 hectares. The DCU resources include gym, playground, cafe, dining room, modern campus for learning and living, computer laboratory.
Still there is no information about hostages and victims.
Previously it was repeatedly reported about capture by the pro-Russian separatists of the temples, buildings and clergy of various denominations, exluding the Moscow Patriarchate.
