In a conversation with Radio Liberty on the Freedom Live program, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko said that he hopes that representatives of the UOC-MP will come to their senses and let the commission into the monastery.

If the UOC-MP continues to block the commission's access to the monastery, the Ministry of Culture has an algorithm for action:
"We will act according to the law."
In this case, the law stipulates that if it is impossible to take over the management in a civilized way, we record, as the police have done today, a case of prevention. And then there is a fairly clear procedure for enforcing those who do not want to comply with the law.
I mean filing a case with the court.
If they don't let us in once, they fix it. They don't let us in a second time, they fix it, and we file a lawsuit the third time. The court has a very short time to make a decision on the admission of representatives of the authorities and the state to these facilities.
Law enforcement agencies and bailiffs should then come into action.
If, even after this court decision, there is irresponsible behavior and obstruction of access to objects, law enforcement agencies and bailiffs should already come into force. That is, there is a whole, so to speak, set of measures when the state... It's not necessarily a force. This is the execution of court decisions," Tkachenko said.
