The Ministry of Culture plans to conduct an examination of the relics at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, according to the director of the reserve. They intend to verify the authenticity of the sacred relics with the assistance of experts from various fields in the near future.

Maksym Ostapenko, Director of the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra," mentioned in an interview with "Telegraf" that there is a "public demand" for an examination of the relics of the venerable fathers of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.

"The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with experts from various fields, will carry out an examination to verify the authenticity of these sacred items. We want to ensure that there are no accusations against us in the future, claiming that we are preserving the wrong relics or that these relics have been stolen," he said.

"I believe that with the proper organization, this can be done within about six months. Modern methods allow for it. Of course, it's not an easy task. Monks who preserve and venerate these relics and have the authority to handle the relics will need to be involved," Ostapenko added.
