New Minister of Culture of Ukraine Appointed

Ukrainian president has appointed Leonid Novokhatko minister of culture of Ukraine. Mr. Novohatko previously worked as deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration.

Ukrainian president has appointed Leonid Novokhatko minister of culture of Ukraine. Mr. Novokhatko previously worked as deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration, reported the Institute for Religious Freedom (IRF).

Tymofii Kokhan, who worked as deputy minister of culture, has been appointed first deputy minister.

Let us remind the readers that since April 2011, the Ministry of Culture has been the central body of the executive power in the area of interethnic relations, religion and protection of rights of ethnic minorities of Ukraine. Before the change of the composition of the government, the ministry was headed by Mykhailo Kulyniak.
