According to Radio Liberty, it was reported by Archbishop Klyment of Simferopol and Crimea Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyiv Patriarchate.
He explained that it was the premises of the Cathedral of St. Vladimir and Olga in the center of Simferopol.
“According to the court ruling, I have to pay half a million rubles to the Ministry of Property and Land Relations, vacate the premises within 10 days and prepare that the premises will be seized, because all communications, water, light, heat are located on these 112 square meters,” the bishop said.
According to him, the leadership of the Crimean Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyiv Patriarchate will not leave the premises of the Cathedral and will continue to fight for it.
Occupation authorities did not comment on the situation.
In 2014, after the Crimean annexation by Russia, the “Property Fund” notified the Archbishop of the need to renew the lease agreement on the premises, where the Cathedral of Vladimir and Olga is located. Then Klyment said that unknown people demanded from him 200 thousand dollars for the opportunity to keep this building.
Despite a number of appeals filed, including to human rights organizations, over the harassment on religious grounds on the Crimean peninsula, the occupation authorities deny this and claim that believers of all faiths are treated on equal terms.
