OCU faithful gather in Kyiv to meet with Patriarch Bartholomew

Believers of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine organize pilgrimage trips to Kyiv to participate in festive events on the occasion of the visit of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Ukraine.

This is stated in the message in profile groups in social networks. So, the faithful of the OCU of the Chernivtsi region will go to the capital on August 21 with the blessing of Metropolitan Daniel of Chernivtsi-Bukovyna. The donation for the trip is 500 UAH, Spiritual Front of Ukraine reports.

 

The Volyn Diocese of the OCU also gathers pilgrims on August 22 to St. Sophia of Kyiv for a joint prayer with Patriarch Bartholomew for the happy fate of Ukraine.

 

As RISU has reported, Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople's historic visit to Kyiv, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, will last for four days and approximately begin on August 22.
