Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Ukraine, Bartosz Cichocki, on May 28, at the residence of the Head of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

According to the press service of the OCU, the parties discussed the actual issues of religious life, socio-political situation and interstate relations. The issue of establishing true spiritual values ​​in society was also raised.

In addition, they spoke about future cooperation, in particular, a joint meeting with relatives of captive Ukrainians, in order to attract the attention of the world community to the cause of their soonest release.

"We have a neighbor who wants to bend us to submission in the east, but it's good that Poland is a good neighbor, our good neighbor, whose support we feel” said Metropolitan Epifaniy, thanking the respected guests for the visit.

For his part, according to the press service of the OCU, Bartosz Cichocki assured the Metropolitan that Poland is ready to assist Ukraine on the way to its pro-European development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts.
