OCU Primate invites Patriarch of Alexandria to visit Ukraine

Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv said that he would be happy to welcome Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria to Ukraine.

According to Religiyna Pravda, he said this during a congratulatory message to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew on the 60th anniversary of his deacon's consecration.

“I would like to thank His Beatitude Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa. We know that Ukraine always remains in your loving heart in a special way. We are glad when you will be able to come to our blessed land again,” the head of the OCU said.

On Friday, August 13, on the island of Imvros, the birthplace of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, a solemn Liturgy was held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of his deacon's ordination.

Patriarch Bartholomew was co–served by Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, and hierarchs from the Churches of Cyprus and Greece.
