On August 25, Metropolitan Epifaniy of Kyiv and All Ukraine met with the monks of Mount Athos at his residence.

Among the monastic delegation from the Holy Mountain were abbot of the Pantokrator Monastery Gabriel and hieromonk Luke, an icon painter from the monastery Xenophon, who depicted the Tomos of autocephaly of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on parchment.
Hieromonk Nikita, the author of the well–known pamphlet "The whole truth about the Ukrainian Church issue", also attended the meeting with the Primate of the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
