03.02.2025, 16:53

The Holy Synod of the OCU, which took place on February 2 in Kyiv, supported Metropolitan Epifaniy's call to the hierarchs of the UOC-MP to start a constructive dialogue without preconditions.

This was reported by the OCU website.

As noted, on December 9-11, 2024, in Warsaw, Metropolitan Epifaniy and the delegation of the OCU took part in the European Consultation on Just Peace, organized by the Conference of European Churches and the Polish Ecumenical Council.

The Primate of the OCU called on Metropolitan Onufriy (Berezovsky) and the bishops of this denomination to engage in a constructive dialogue.

During his speech, Metropolitan Epifaniy emphasized that he, as the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, reiterated his call (dated August 15) to the hierarchy of the UOC-MP to begin a dialogue without preconditions.

It should be noted that the hierarchs of the Moscow Patriarchate ignored all prior proposals of the OCU for negotiations.
