Last weekend, the Lichtental Parish Church (Schubertkirche) in Vienna hosted a charity concert, “Old Ukrainian Christmas”, dedicated to preserving Ukrainian traditions and supporting Ukrainian culture.
According to Ukrinform, the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria reported this on Facebook.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Austria, Vasyl Khymynets, who emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage and supporting the Ukrainian community abroad.
The Embassy expressed special gratitude to Bohdan Shutka for his tireless work, inspiration and dedication that made the event possible.
Thanks to his efforts, Ukrainian traditions have found their place in the heart of Vienna, and the guests of the concert could experience the warmth and spirituality of Ukrainian Christmas.
In addition to the musical program, the guests visited a charity Christmas fair. All the funds raised will be used to support the "City of Good" charity project in Ukraine, which helps women with children in difficult life circumstances.
The event is organized with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria, the Austrian-Ukrainian Society, and the "Domivka" and "Matusia" NGOs.
“We thank everyone who joined the event. Your support is an important component of Ukraine's cultural diplomacy in the world,” the diplomatic mission added.
