The Roman Catholic Bishops of Ukraine addressed the faithful on the occasion of the Dignity and Liberty Day, as reported by the Catholic Media Center.

“On November 21, Ukraine celebrates the Dignity and Liberty day. Its goal is to develop in citizens of Ukraine the values of liberty and democracy, to preserve and pass on to future generations the information about the momentous events in the life of our people in the early twenty-first century.

We join to celebrate this day and encourage our faithful to thank God for the gift of human dignity and liberty.

Let us pray that the Lord gives usgrace to convert and change the hearts of those who degrades the dignity of Ukrainians and supports needless wars in Eastern Ukraine. Also, we ask the Lord for those who courageously protects peace and the borders of our country sacrificing their lives. Let’s beseech God for the gift of wisdom, judgment, and in righteousness of life for our officials,” goes the statement.
