The COVID-19 vaccination center in the capital's Ar-Rahma mosque refused the AstraZeneca vaccine. Imam-Khatib Al-Rahma Sheikh Hasan Akhatov explained why this particular vaccine was banned.

This is reported by "Suspilne".

According to Khasan Akhatov, the AstraZeneca vaccine contains ethyl alcohol. Therefore, it was decided to leave only the Moderna, CoronaVac and PFIZER vaccines.

"Given the religious prescriptions of Islam, we know that there are some substances that are prohibited. Therefore, we have different vaccines, except for AstraZeneca – it contains ethyl alcohol, so we do not allow it to be used. There are others," Akhatov said.

You can get vaccinated daily from 9:00 to 16:00.

On November 23, in the Shevchenko district of the capital, a public vaccination center against COVID-19 opened in the Ar-Rahma Mosque. Citizens over the age of 18, as well as teenagers over the age of 12, will be able to get vaccinated if they have all the necessary vaccinations according to the preventive calendar.

You must have the following documents with you: passport and taxpayer identification number.

The Ar-Rahma Mosque is located in Kyiv on Mount Shchekavitsa at 46 Lukyanovskaya Street.
