General Director of the Kyiv Cave Historic and Cultural Reserve, Maryna Hromova, predicts only the Museum of Historic Valuables will stay on the territory of the Kyiv Cave Monastery, explaining that its exposition "fits the theme of the reserve." She stressed that the collection of the museum includes rarities that were once kept in the monastery.

In an interview to umoloda.kiev.ua, Maryna Hromova noted that on the territory of the monastery, there is no room for an exposition on the history of the sacred place, which is planned to be presented in 2011 on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the reserve. She also reported that an agreement was signed by the museum complex "Art Arsenal" to transfer a square for the use of the exposition of the State Museum of Decorative and Applied Art and the Theater, Music, and Cinematography Museum.

In addition, Hromova noted that the reserve plans to teach foreign languages to the personnel in view of the Championship Euro 2012 which is to be held in Ukraine. "This year, we have already paid for the foreign language courses for our workers. Not only our guides but also concierges, hall attendants, and personnel of the cafes will speak foreign languages," assured the director.

According to her, it is also planned to publish booklets and guides in various languages, to acquire wireless players for listening to the excursion text during independent viewing, and to install a large electronic screen with the map of the monastery.

In the end of September 2010, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the transfer of the Kyiv Cave Historic and Cultural Reserve from communal to the state ownership. On October 12, 2010, the Cabinet of Ministers set up a work team to evict from the territory of the reserve subjects of economic activity that are not connected with its main activity. Commentaries of representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Moscow Patriarchate in this regard say that only museums of religious character should be located on the territory of the monastery. The superior of the monastery noted that the brethren of the monastery are "radically disposed" in this matter.
