On February 5, 2010, Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the USA in Ukraine, John Tefft, met with the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret, in the patriarch’s residence.

KYIV – On February 5, 2010, Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the USA in Ukraine, John Tefft, met with the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate, Patriarch Filaret, in the patriarch’s residence. According to the press service of the Kyivan Patriarchate, the parties exchanged thoughts about the religious situation in Ukraine.

The head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church-Kyivan Patriarchate informed the guest about the status and prospects of the dialogue between the branches of Orthodoxy in Ukraine and expressed hope that the problem will be solved in the spirit of the Christian love.
