The head of the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch Kirill has to urge Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian leadership to stop all overt aggression against Ukraine, which is obviously not Christian behavior.

Spokesperson for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Kyiv Patriarchate, Archbishop Yevstratii (Zorya) was reported as saying this, commenting on the statement of Kirill that ungodliness became the state ideology of Ukraine.

According to the Archbishop, Patriarch Kirill’s statements are “part of the Kremlin's propaganda against Ukraine.”

According to Bishop Yevstratii, it is “very surprising to hear, given that the leadership of his state is involved in direct lie and unhidden and overt aggression.”

"Why does not he urge his leadership to stop the actions that are clearly non-Christian? ... His own president shows significantly more signs of an infidel judging by his actions than those who direct the actions of the Ukrainian state,” said Archbishop Yevstratii.

According to him, this kind of statement is another proof that the Moscow Church in the person of its leader is one of the tools of the Kremlin and yet another element of propaganda against Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
